| This BrainStem Module offers 2 channels of high-resolution motion control. These channels offer flexible PWM or PID control of motors with various types of feedback including encoders, quadrature encoders, analog input, and Back-EMF speed control. Details: The Moto 1.0 board can handle a variety of motion control needs in your projects. This new module builds on the success of the original GP 1.0 module with the ability to run concurrent TEA programs, reflexes, and handle slave commands from a host PC, all simultaneously. The Moto 1.0 board accepts two of our 3 Amp H-Bridge with back EMF control. (additional H-Bridge options to follow.) Access to the module is through a Console Application, C, C++, or Java. All supported platforms include a TEA compiler, support libraries, example code, and example applications. Our Getting Started section can help you get aquainted quickly with the Moto 1.0 module. A great deal of information can be found in the BrainStem section of our website including application notes and a comprehensive reference guide. Moto 1.0 Module features: 40 MHz RISC processor 2 motion control channels with PWM frequencies from 2.5kHz - 5MHz 1 dedicated 10-bit A/D 1 dedicated digital I/O lines 1 MBit IIC port IIC routing status LED 11 1k TEA file slots and 1 16k TEA file slot 368 bytes of RAM available to user RS-232 serial port reflex architecture ability to run 3 concurrent TEA processes hardware EEPROM lock option small size (2.5" square, 0.5" high) Currently Supported On: Windows WinCE MacOS X * PalmOS * Linux (access libraries) * the Moto application will follow for these applications Dimensions: Software: Sample Moto 1.0 Configuration and Control Application Notes: The module does not include the interface cable/connector which is specific for each supported platform. If you already own a cable for your BrainStem GP 1.0 module, you can use that cable. These are the current interface cables: Serial Interface Connector BrainStem Interface Assembly PalmIII Handhelds PalmV Handhelds Kit for Visor Handhelds To use the BrainStem with your USB MacOS X, Windows or Linux computer, you can use the BrainStem Interface Assembly with the Serial to USB Adapter. Please Note that we also offer a less expensive, more compact Serial Interface Connector for the BrainStem modules. This connector can plug directly into the male end of your DB9 serial cable, or into the Serial to USB Adapter. The software is downloadable from our site, and not packaged with the module. You can find the BrainStem software and more at the Acroname Download Center. |
